It’s pretty amazing how fast Nuke handles / plays back keyed footage. In other apps it would take forever to render with multiple keys for hair, separate despill, etc. Nuke is really fast. Pretty awesome. #vfx #nuke #compositing

Houdini is tempting. You can get it for $269 (indie) and you have everything you need for destruction built in (fracture/dynamics & pyro). SideFX Pair it with Nuke (indie) and Blender and you’re pretty much set.
