An MRI revealed the cause of Nola’s side stiffness was a stress reaction in his rib. He will not throw at all for 2 weeks. He’ll then need to ramp back up if/when he’s cleared. Likely looking at an absence of at least another month.

Mick Abel has missed his spots quite a few times tonight -- and 3 of those have resulted in solo home runs. He's also issued his first two walks of his young career. The pinpoint control from the first two starts hasn't been there tonight.

Phillies top prospect Andrew Painter for Triple-A Lehigh Valley tonight: 5 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, 4 K, 2 HR Last 2 starts: 9 IP, 10 ER, 4 HR He has a 5.19 ERA in 6 starts with Lehigh Valley.

Kyle Schwarber is 0-for-3 with 3 K's tonight. He has at least 1 K in 23 straight games, tied for the longest streak by any player in MLB this season -- and the longest by a Phillie since Ryan Howard in 2011.

The Phillies have DFA’d a reliever for the second time in a week. This time it’s Carlos Hernandez. Michael Mercado has been recalled in his place.

Phillies' No. 3 prospect Justin Crawford remains out of the lineup for Triple-A Lehigh Valley tonight (mild quad soreness). He's again going through full pregame activities today, including running the bases -- and then "we'll see about tomorrow," per Rob Thomson.

Kyle Schwarber's 3-run HR tonight was his first HR with anyone on base in more than a month. His last one was May 11. His last HR with *multiple* runners on base had been April 30.

Ranger Suarez this season ... First start: 7 earned runs in 3 2/3 IP Since: 6 ER in 46 2/3 IP (1.16 ERA) Suarez's 1.16 ERA since May 10 trails only Paul Skenes (0.76!).

Ranger Suarez has thrown 6+ scoreless innings in HALF of his 8 outings this season. Despite missing the first 5 weeks, only 3 pitchers have more starts of 6+ scoreless innings: Tarik Skubal (6), Yoshinobu Yamamoto (5) and Sonny Gray (5).

Phillies scored 2 runs in the 4th on the following: - BB - BB - HBP - BB - HBP It's the 1st time the Phillies have scored multiple runs in an inning without a hit since May 16, 2019.

Paul Casella (@paul_casellamlb) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Kyle Schwarber has 3 intentional walks in the 7 games since Bryce Harper went on the IL. He had just 2 IBB in the first 64 games. Teams have clearly decided they are going to try to make someone else in this Phillies lineup beat them.

Paul Casella (@paul_casellamlb) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Alec Bohm grounded into a double play after each of those last 2 IBB -- but he drops in an RBI single this time. Phillies will need a few more of those to deter teams from walking Schwarber.

Solid bounceback outing by Andrew Painter in Triple-A today: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 6 K, 2 BB Good sign after he struggled a bit in his last two starts.

Zack Wheeler had his growing family on his mind when he took the mound this Father's Day -- but on the field, he's still focused on his two biggest career goals: "Two things every pitcher wants to do are win a Cy Young ... and win a World Series." mlb.com/phillies/news/…

This ends Nick Castellanos' games started streak at 236 games. It was the 2nd-longest active streak in MLB (behind Matt Olson). It was also the longest by a Phillie since Pete Rose started 350 straight games from 1980-83.

Bryce Harper took 20 swings off a tee today. Also played catch on the field. Still no timetable, but feeling better. Close to a return? "I don't know. This is the first day swinging a bat, so I've just got to see how it feels tomorrow."

Ump seemed very close to ringing up Nimmo on this pitch (it was a ball), which would have ended the 5th with Wheeler at 91 pitches. He might have pitched the 6th. Instead, he threw 7 more pitches to get out of the inning and Phillies had to go to the 'pen for the 6th.
