More places with doctors, nurses, and other health professionals all under one roof – that’s how we’ll make sure people have access to primary care providers, reduce wait times, and keep people out of emergency rooms. More here: liberal.ns.ca/ns-liberals-an…

Who’s going to tell the PCs that their “exciting” housing announcement does nothing to address the issue at the root of the housing crisis: housing supply?!

Nova Scotia Liberal Party (@liberalpartyns) 's Twitter Profile Photo

And not for nothing… the PC program will likely increase housing prices further by fuelling demand without increasing supply. And it will increase housing prices for first-time buyers by increasing the cost of their homes over the course of their mortgage - up to $10,000 more.

What does a Better Deal for Commuters look like? It includes long-term infrastructure investments & immediate congestion relief with: ✅ A new MacKay Bridge; ✅ FREE public transit; ✅ Investments in bus rapid transit; and ✅ Flexible work arrangements.

One rush hour with a bridge closure shows us where reckless growth and zero plan for congestion gets us. HRM is busting at the seams, only the Liberals have offered a credible plan on transit and congestion.

Our government will create a Minister of Women's Health - to ensure that a gender lens is applied to the delivery of healthcare. We will ensure that women's healthcare is prioritized, well-funded, and well-represented.

A NS Liberal government will: 🏡 Build 80,000 new homes; 📐 Re-think municipal zoning standards; 💸 Fix the broken property tax system; 🏠 Build more non-profit housing & co-op units; and 💡 Spur homebuilding innovation.

Tomorrow is Election Day. And issues like this are why I’m running. Neither the Conservatives or NDP have a plan that will actually fix the housing – or healthcare or affordability – problems we’re facing. A vote for the NS Liberals is a vote for a plan that will deliver.

"If he wants us to cut off electricity, he would have to walk up the Trump Tower with candles to go to his office, because the state of New York relies a lot on electricity coming from Canada," said former PM Jean Chrétien about the prospect of a trade war with the United States.

Such a great article from former Canadian PM Jean Chretien: "I can tell you Canadians prize our independence. We love our country. We have built something here that is the envy of the world – when it comes to compassion, understanding, tolerance and finding a way for people

Very sad to hear of former MP and Immigration Minister John MacCallum’s passing. He was a gentleman and a great statesman. Rest in Peace.
