The 1981 release of the 1968 recording. Gimmer Nicholson’s Christopher Idylls. It was slated to be Ardent Records first release but it never happened, a big influence on Chris Bell and Alex Chilton. Best described as Robbie Basho sitting in on #1 Record. ❤️

Finally bagged 10” 1954 OG of this. One of my all time favourites.

For I work on the beach, I’m the punch and judy man. I’ve always adored that line, another recent pick up and it completes my Anne Briggs OG set. 👐🏻

An Douar Bras – Le Joueur De Lune (1985) One of my favourite of this year’s discoveries. What if Pasolini’s The Canterbury Tales was a French folk band armed with Bombarde, Zither and Synthesizer? Essentially it’s madness.

Just 6 left on the 1st time spin pile for 2024. So first up is, a 2am nihilistic texture trip. A wonderful find.

Strata OG heaven. Big grail, cosmic Jazz Funk I’d guess you would call it. A genre that normally isn’t my bag but this is certainly something special.

The last album post of 2024 and possibly my favourite pick up. I have saved it for a Christmas Eve spin. Have a happy Christmas and a beautiful new year. 2025 and all that.
