Raising ladders is a pretty standard practice for us. In the winter, we need to change how we do things, paying extra attention to slippery ground, where we put water and often nasty weather. Safety is always our top priority.

We teamed up with our counterparts at the Pass Powderkeg to review ski hill operations. We learned about the various procedures, safe travel routes performed a mock rescue and fired up the side-by-sides with our tracks. Great time with ski patrol.

Our members got outside tonight to go over knots, anchors and rope systems. Knowing how to safely maximize our rope systems is critical for us during back country rescue and even during motor vehicle accidents.
