Wallis Marsh Josh Pate The stadium is old, and that’s a feature, not a bug. But if CFB made it the permanent championship venue, there’s plenty of money for renovations. The Rose Bowl is historic, and treats their game like Augusta National treats the Masters. We need more of that in CFB.
And as Joel Klatt has proposed, the National Championship should be played there every season. As he said recently, “It is the most iconic, best sporting venue in all of sports, and college football can own it . . . Everybody should be trying to get to the Rose Bowl.”
