Perfect day for a Green School walk. Being scientists and observing the change of seasons.

First grade students participated in our Farm to Table program today! They learned that some fruits and vegetables come from our local farms right to our cafeteria. The students shucked corn to help prepare for tomorrow’s lunch and even tasted some local watermelon.

Parrs Ridge students had so much fun at our PTO Fun Run today. We love our “healthy school environment”!

Lots of Green School happenings today! Green Club did a skit on WPAR about Waste Free Wednesday. An intern from Outdoor School came and helped us set up tanks for our frog eggs. A pair of Bluebirds were spotted near a Bluebird box. Wood frogs have laid eggs in our vernal pond
