Today was a really great day. And I met this cat.

Anybody have an extra bluesky invite I can use? I’m enjoying posts, but it still feels pretty empty.

Good designers fall in love with problems. But great designers do a background check on the problem first, to see whether someone has already tried solving it, and how that went. Often, the real problem is not user-facing, but organizational.

Shopping list.

Me: can I have a slice of your pizza? Wife: no, it’s a personal pizza. Me: every pizza is a personal pizza if you work hard and believe in yourself! Wife: No! this pizza doesn’t require me to believe in myself. That’s the point.

Wife: “can you draw a person?” 3yo: “oh yes, sure! I can do that for you!” Wife + me: 🤯

Current status: whelmed by ruthfullness.

Listening to the National - the system sleeps in totally darkness and I’m hung up on wondering why he sings “I cannot explain it” instead of “I can’t explain it” when the rhythm begs for the single syllable. Is the misfit on purpose? Is he just feeling formal? Why is it so good?

Where are folks buying their short sleeve button down shirts with a bit of stretch and chic designery patterns these days?

Reached a new milestone: I’m now singing over the nsfw lyrics to Lizzo songs with sfw versions so my 3yo can sing them in public at the top of her lungs.
