Rookie Charley Trippi’s punt return touchdown in the 1947 NFL Championship Game. Trippi’s Cardinals beat the Eagles, 28-21. Red Grange, radio announcer for the game, said the run was incomparable to any other touchdown he’d seen. NEPA’s GOAT 🐐

1955 Mahanoy Township Purple Larks Coached by my grandfather William “Buck” Jones. They went a perfect 8-0, Mahanoy City’s last football team to be unbeaten and untied. During this season they extended their overall win streak to 22 games. PA Football History
