This is a critically important new study. It shows that exceeding 1.5 degrees will likely trigger five tipping points, including Greenland and West Antarctic ice sheet collapse. We need radical climate policy to prevent this. theguardian.com/environment/20…

Well, I trust the announcements about projects where transport funding is being moved to, as much as the previous promises in the IRP... (all of which have the *only funded to next stage in business case - small print on them) Short term thinking by a short-term government.

I 100% agree with this for public transit or passenger rail anywhere in the world. Don’t cover windows with advertising wraps. Period. Repost if you agree.

My new piece looks at the hard-to explain variations in train ticket prices in Britain. Why do people travelling similar distances pay massively different amounts? I have crunched a load of data and the results are baffling. (1/7)

Owen O'Neill Dan Cookson Can you figure out how the Guardian came up with the two years off your life figure? I'm struggling to see that from the original article.

Sickening to see the LTC being approved- which comes hot on the heels of approval of major SE airport expansion too, not what I expected from this government from when they were elected. Absolutely awful.

ons income decile data is where you need to go for that. Agree that anecdotally there does seem to have been a whole bunch of wage compression at lower levels and employers asking for degrees just because they feel they can rather than role needing it.
