Amazing to be back on campus Western University to meet teacher candidates at the Faculty of Education. They are excited to make difference in students’ lives and had great questions about the profession. Thanks for inviting OTF/FEO!

"The notwithstanding clause isn't meant to be a tool of political convenience or weapon to strip workers' rights." Ontario's been here before. With national support, we got Ford to repeal. #OntEd stands w/ Alberta teachers in their fight to do the same: bit.ly/3LkuVr7

Recently, I attended ‘Telling Tales out of School’, a fundraiser for People for Education. It’s always a great event that brings together education advocates and this year was also to celebrate P4E director Annie Kidder’s retirement. Wishing her well from all of us at OTF/FEO!

Ford government appointed school board supervisors who have taken over the roles of trustees can charge $350K/year for their advisory work and the funds will come directly from the #onted board. Umm, what! How's that for an investment in students? #onpoli globalnews.ca/news/11510635/…

It was a great evening with fellow education advocates as we raised money for People for Education and celebrated the career of founder and director, Annie Kidder. On behalf of OTF/FEO, congratulations on your retirement & thanks for your commitment to publicly funded education!

With no new money for schools in the Ford govt’s mini budget, educators are calling it “deliberate neglect” of “struggling students,” ETFOpresident. “If any parent is hoping their child will have smaller classes or supports in class - that’s not coming,” added Marit Stiles.

I was honoured to represent OTF/FEO at Queen’s Park today to remember the sacrifices of Canadian heroes, past and present, that defend our freedom and way of life. Their cause is now our cause in the preservation of democratic values. Lest We Forget.
