Today’s streetscape view — turning the corner onto the familiarity of #CityofMunich’s Maximilianstrasse with fond memories stirred of stage door visits BayerischeStaatsoper.

Today’s streetscape view — quiet, comfortable rural living on Monatshauserstrasse at the edge of the Bavarian town of #Tutzing’s at Lake Starnberger.

A glorious day with two beautiful souls covering around 15km of walking through the forest and rural setting around Bavaria’s #Tutzing and more than 2km of swimming in Lake Stamberger

Late morning swim of about 1.2km in Starnberger Lake at the gorgeous Bavarian village of Bernried. Couldn’t ask for more, except wanting to do that again and again.

Today’s streetscape view — glimpses out to Dorfstrasse in the little hamlet of Bauerbach, about 10km SE of #Tutzing. Location for an idyllic weekend away from city life.

Today’s streetscape view — morning walk along #CityofMunich’s blockish, broad apartment-lined Agnes-Bernauer-Straße in the district of Laim.

Coming up, London-bound with Lufthansa LH2476 MUC-LHR and time for playing childish games with three great nephews for the next few days.

Managed to find a place to play social pickleball here in London at the rather drab Battersea Sports Centre. But it was a fun 2hr session and had some good games for the £15 price tag.

Today’s streetscape view — hardly the kind of thoroughfare that’s treated to a photo shoot but Wandsworth’s Merton Road SW18 in London nevertheless got my attention.

A facade worthy of a railway station status, behind which houses a 30m indoor pool, the Wimbledon Leisure Centre and Spa was the choice for my tad more than 2km swim this morning — £6.20 and nowhere near the kind of swimming experience you might crave.

Highly recommend a pause in the day for a hot chocolate at #HostCafe, blending in very spiritually with the 16th-century church of St Mary Aldermary — right nearby Mansion Underground.

Today’s streetscape view — heating up on Southfields’ pleasant Replingham Road, London SW18, on the way back from nursery drop off.

Sheringdale Primary School’s Key Stage One Music Assembly Summer Concert in London SW18 was nothing short of a triumph — a heart-warming, toe-tapping celebration of young talent. Full review to come!

Settled into my rooftop accommodation in Liège and it’s less than a 7min walk to Opéra Liège which, I thought, was best to investigate before tonight’s performance of The Marriage of Figaro

Today’s streetscape view — Friday arvo in Liège’s central pedestrian zone on Rue Pont d'Avroy with a late lunch of pork meatballs in rabbit sauce and a beer at La Cafétaria.

A right royal welcome from Opéra Liège for this, my first time visit to the Opéra Royal de Wallonie Liège with The Marriage of Figaro set to decorate the evening further. And, bringing to 95 the number of global cities I’ve been to for opera.
