Late morning swim of about 1.2km in Starnberger Lake at the gorgeous Bavarian village of Bernried. Couldn’t ask for more, except wanting to do that again and again.

Managed to find a place to play social pickleball here in London at the rather drab Battersea Sports Centre. But it was a fun 2hr session and had some good games for the £15 price tag.

A facade worthy of a railway station status, behind which houses a 30m indoor pool, the Wimbledon Leisure Centre and Spa was the choice for my tad more than 2km swim this morning — £6.20 and nowhere near the kind of swimming experience you might crave.
