Let’s Spell What We Hear! Segmenting CVC words is a key step in helping kids connect sounds to letters and build early spelling skills. In this stage, we move from two-sound words to three-sound CVC words — using tools like Elkonin boxes to make each sound visual and clear.

Literacy isn’t just reading skills. It’s executive functioning too. This year at Omniea, we’re intentionally integrating EF into our literacy sessions, because students need support with how they think and learn, not just what they read.
