With a snort, both shoulders would rise and fall, a rather devious grin forming on his features. “Experience tells something different, Detective.”

“Behave?” Lucifer asked, a hint of indignation clearly present in his voice. “I’ve behaved 𝘢𝘭𝘭 day, I’ve done everything you’ve asked of me.”

This time, though, his features softened, as a hand reached to slide the freshly poured shot glass in her direction. “It isn’t entirely lost. We’ll catch them next time, Detective. You’ll see.”

Lucifer offered a gentle smile, his hand reaching to take the small glass and raise it to match the height of the detectives. “𝘊𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴.” With that, he’d drink the yellowish liquid. It’d been a very, very long day.

Her words weighed heavy in his head, though on the outside, he’d appear to not be fazed by them. Slim shoulders rolled in a slow shrug, his head gently cocking to the side as his eyes fixed on her once more. “I know we 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 catch our killer, detective. »
