Happy to help McLaughlin Lab from Vassar College with Cryo sample preparation and grid screening for Conjugative Protein Complexes. This project will help with Antibiotic resistant bacterial strains that pose a major threat to human health.

Check out this insightful interview with NYSBC scientists on their recent EM ladder paper in Structural Biology Communications: youtube.com/watch?v=DB833J…. They dive into how the study was conceived, the challenges they faced (rarely discussed in papers!), and the real-world impact of their work.

NYSBC Monthly Webinar Series: Please join us for a webinar on RNA cryo-EM: unveiling the wonders of RNA biology by Rachael Kretsch from @StanfordUniversity All are welcome to attend. Registration is at no-cost, but sign-up is required: us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regist…

Annual Pratt Institute visit was a success. Future architects were able to learn about their routine materials on a molecular level using SEM instrumentation.

NYSBC is happy to host 2 junior undergraduate students Tarik and Katie from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). They will have a month-long internship working within NYSBC’s machine learning team, experts that o push the boundaries of machine learning and structural biology.

During tomo course we will have a: 1. Scipion tomography pipeline demo 2. data processing tutorial: nextPYP 3. sub-tomogram processing practical: WARP/RELION 4. data annotation demo: AMIRA 5. data annotation practical using Dragonfly Thermo Fisher Dragonfly SubAngstrom

NYSBC Monthly Webinar Series: Please join us for a webinar on Untangling a tricky topoisomerase by Dan Richman from Johns Hopkins University All are welcome to attend. Registration is at no-cost, but sign-up is required: us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regist…

Ready to use #cryoEM for structural studies but need more training to get started? Want to use your home institution's resources to make data collection ready samples? @NYSBC_Sciencemay be in your neck of the woods to help. Find us at Delaware Biotechnology Institute (DBI) this May.

We signed off on our Microscopy & Spectroscopy Hydra & Arctis pFIBs. Our staff received Arctis training. We are ready to help users access the latest technologies & provide more #cryoET opportunities.New York Structural Biology Center- The cutting edge of integrated structural biology.

Happy to help Carolyn Teschke lab from @Uconn to prepare and screen gridsto help them better understanding how scaffolding proteins (SPs) lead to the correct assembly of dsDNA procapsids and phages.

Happy to help @Hamza Balci Lab from Kent State to prepare and screen grids to help them better distinguish G-quadruplex (GQ or G4) structures from damaged DNA.

NYSBC SCI-Talk Seminar Series: Please join us for a seminar on Conserved energetic changes drive function in an ancient protein fold by Anum Glasgow from Columbia VIR on Tuesday, May 20th at 12:00PM.
