The legislative Science Technology and Telecommunications Committee is at #NMSU today to discuss many topics including #STEM education, cybersecurity, and the Technology Enhancement Fund. They were welcomed by Interim President Jay Gogue.

Our dynamic STEM+ Education Research Institute (SERI) team from NMSU presented to the Science, Technology and Telecommunications committee. SERI will bring together experts from across campus to develop and evaluate innovative approaches for STEM education from K-16.

At yesterday’s Science, Technology and Telecommunications hearing at NMSU, HED Acting Deputy Secretary Gerald Hoehne, and VPs of Research at NM institutions spoke about the importance of the Technology Enhancement Fund in the state’s economic development.

Dr. Pei Xu spoke to the Science, Technology and Telecommunications Committee at the War Eagles Air Museum, about the Santa Teresa desalination feasibility study her team conducted. NMSU is engaging in cutting-edge research to address the state and nation's water issues. #nmsu

This morning NMSU ACES celebrated the completion of the Food Science, Security and Safety Center and the Animal Nutrition and Feed Manufacturing Facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The center will serve as an international hub for food safety and security.
