The right's January 6th mythology relies on no one ever seeing the results of the violent mob. Thank you, Staff Sergeant Gonell, for sharing this.

Superb interview between DCR and @cinionic, which addresses how theatres are looking to enhance their movie-going proposition and create an experience which ‘can’t be replicated by at-home or mobile viewing platforms’. 👇 #MX4D #AAM Nick Dager digitalcinemareport.com/article/elevat…

Republican Senators keep reciting the part of the Constitution that says states set voting rules but they stop reading the clause halfway through so they don’t have to say the second half: “but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations”. Just amazing.

Journalists, stop calling the failure to pass the voting rights bill a “major setback” for Democrats. It is a major setback for DEMOCRACY. The right to vote is not a partisan issue. Stop framing it as such and legitimizing anti-voter efforts.

Your daily reminder that Mitch McConnell made up a nonexistent Senate rule to block Merrick Garland 8 months before election then killed filibuster to confirm Amy Coney Barrett 8 days before election when 65 million people had already voted

BREAKING NEWS: Republican book ban BACKFIRES as Maus by Art Spiegelman, a Pulitzer Price-winning book about the Holocaust, skyrockets to the top of Amazon’s “Best Sellers” list. RT IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS GREAT NEWS!

Spot on. The problem goes like this: their pollsters tells them voters think econ is bad & therefore don’t talk positive about econ, dems therefore don’t talk pos about econ therefore GOP & media define economic debate so of course voters think the econ is bad. See how that works

When they moved to ban the Pulitzer Prize winning “Maus” from a Tennessee school district, they cited nudity as one of the reasons for the ban. It must be noted, these are nude MICE. They are angry that the MICE don’t have CLOTHES.

I’m always amazed at the statistics on how effective universal gun backgrounds checks are. In states that do a check on every sale, 43% fewer women are shot and killed by their partner then in states with big loopholes.

BREAKING NEWS: The January 6 Committee earns a HUGE win as the National Archives sends Trump a letter putting him on notice that it has decided to release all of the Mike Pence calls, texts, and emails that Trump tried desperately to hide. RT IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS GREAT NEWS!

& going back at least 3 decades GOP has fairly consistently held a generic advantage on handling the economy. This is a story about how the GOP consistently wins the messaging wars despite the facts not being on their side. Also kinda like them being the Party of family values 🙄

Starbucks could give every one of its 383,000 workers a $5,000 bonus & still keep $2.6 billion in profits from last year. Instead they're raising prices while spending $20 billion on stock buybacks & dividends when profits are up 31%. Don't blame inflation. Blame corporate greed.

Congress needs to take action and pass legislation that allows Medicare to directly negotiate prescription drug prices with pharmaceutical companies.
