One of our NES Newcomers students had to go overseas for a family emergency. 7 hr time difference - still participates actively in all online classes. This 11 year old was denied access to education “when she was little”, and she’s not letting ANYTHING get in her way now.

Our music teacher may *technically* not be at Northside Elementary, but newcomer students and teachers just don’t want to give up the space and time he gave us to share and appreciate each other’s music. “Mr. Parker Time” is still our favorite time of the week! Katie Jiang
