When Tier 1 is weak, lots of students look like they need intervention. When Tier 2 is weak, lots of students look like they need Tier 3 or special education. Strong investments in Tier 1 & Tier 2 is a critical starting place for prevention. Access gaps = outcome gaps.

Town Meeting Update: Warrant Article 6, Budgets, and the consideration of an operational override, has PASSED at town meeting with a majority vote. This article must also pass on the ballot with a majority vote on Saturday April 29th at the town election.

Our 3rd Grade Mock Town Meeting went off without a hitch today at Old Ordinary! Thank you to retired East teacher Beverly Vernon, HEF, town officials, and the social studies department for organizing this event that educated our students on this important democratic process.

This was so cool! Hingham third graders made compelling points on warrant articles about vegetarian lunch options, study committees for bike lanes and elementary sports teams, and other issues important to them. Thanks to all of the volunteers who organized the event!
