A 2 Mega Watt floating solar farm has been installed on the Mudasarlova Reservoir in Visakhapatnam. The solar plant is spread over an area of 17,500 sqm (4.4 Acres) with an intermittent opening to allow exchange of gases and sunlight. #TransformingIndia

The plant generates more than 3500 MWh electricity in a year leading to a reduction of more than 3000 tons of CO2 emissions per year & cost. Environmental Impact of this Plant is Equivalent to 1,38,600 mature trees. #TransformingIndia

Urban Mobility is one of the key sectors identified by Smart Cities under their plans with estimated investments of about ₹42,000 crore. Smart Cities are implementing Smart Roads’ projects with the objective of transforming the important mobility corridors.

This component also covers Smart Solutions for Urban Mobility which include Integrated Transport Management System (ITMS) with features as Automated Vehicle Location System, Automated Fare Collection System (AFC), Passenger Information System (PIS) etc.

These Systems include features as Adaptive Traffic Signals, Red Light Violation Detection system, Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) System, Sensor-based Parking Management System, National Common Mobility Card, etc.
