Went through all of the Knicks' regular season ATO plays and plotted every shot attempt Here's what they look like 🧵

Shots at the end of the shot-clock—often referred to as grenades—are generally tightly contested. Here are the top 50 in "grenade" FGA in '23-'24 ⬆️ Efficient End-Of-Shot-Clock Scoring ➡️ More End-Of-Shot-Clock Attempts What stands out?

‘24-‘25 New Orleans Pelicans The Pels made a big splash trading picks, Dyson Daniels, and Larry Nance for Dejounte Murray. They have lot of unanswered questions, but also a lot of talent which makes them one of the tougher teams to evaluate. What’s your take on this squad?

‘24-‘25 San Antonio Spurs… Young roster (and CP3) led by an alien. Do you think Victor & company can be good enough to compete for a play-in/playoff spot in a loaded Western Conference?

Donte DiVincenzo was arguably the best catch & shoot player in the NBA last season... He also brought defensive intensity and a ton of rhythm disrupting deflections. His stature as a player took a leap last year and is on the 2nd year of an extremely valuable 4/$47 contract.

Austin Reaves' best ability is his scoring as the pick-n-roll ball handler... Elite efficiency. Executes a variety of P&R scoring options at a high level: step-back jumper, downhill contact initiation, screen rejection, midrange stop-n-pop. Very impressive on-ball tape.

‘24-‘25 Charlotte Hornets... A young team riddled with injuries last season, yet, some bright spots of very exciting talent. What’s your take on this squad?

21yo Peyton Watson is a special defensive player... Sick team defender—6'7, 7'0 wingspan, springy athleticism & instincts. He will have a lot on his shoulders with DEN losing Brown + KCP back to back summers. Shooting leap would be HUGE (necessary?) for DEN's championship hopes.

‘24-‘25 Miami Heat The Heat have been a mainstay of the Eastern Conference during the Jimmy/Bam era. Following an injury filled early exit last season—do you think they have a chance to regain power in the East?

All the technology in the world and we still have NFL refs randomly eyeballing spots to place the ball and chains to measure 1st downs. Very endearing, hope they never change it.
