#DYK The Dark Flying fox (Pteropus subniger) also known as the Lesser Mascarene Flying-fox & "Rougettes" went extinct between 1864 and 1873. It was ~130 g in size, fed on nectar & fruits & roosted in tree hollows. Deforestation and hunting were main threats. #BatWeek
