There’s so much good & beauty in youth sports but I assure you 99.9% of everything wrong in youth sports is contributed to adults. It’s sad the issue of aggression and violence toward referees even needs to be discussed. This issue has definitely contributed to the shortage

If you do too much for your kid instead of teaching and empowering them you’re stealing an opportunity for them to build self-esteem by you building up yours.  Everything must be age-appropriate but allow your children a chance to learn and grow they might just surprise you. 💯

Parents be careful with this gentle parenting stuff. Our job is not to make our kids life easier, It’s to prepare them for the future. Hearing some of the stories from my teacher friends some of these kids are out of control. Parents must instill discipline with children at home
