One of those days where the pics would never do it justice around the Yorkshire Coast. Incredible array of birds including predawn Short Eared Owl hunting Filey Brigg, 6 Grey Partridge at Bempton, Pallas's Warbler, YBT and Blackredstart at Flamborough.

Enjoyable hour searching for Snipe in Haverah Park. Almost impossible to see even with the help of a thermal as they are deep in the reeds. 3 Jacksnipe and 8 Snipe. Geese coming back on the fields in big numbers, stonechat, reedbunt redkite kestrel buzzard, etc Harrogate District Naturalists’ Society

Great views of the lovely Orange-flanked grey tail at RSPB Bempton Cliffs today. Glad it hung around as i dipped it last week. Did manage to get the young Sprawk when he actually sat still for a bit.

Great wander around teesside today. teesbirds Red-crested Pochard at Ropner Park, Barnacles at Saltholme, Barwit at Greatham Creek and 18 Red-breasted Merganser at the Seaton on Tees channel.

Quick visit to John O'Gaunts Haverah Park this lunchtime. 9 Siskin, 80ish Fieldfare, 30 redwing, 2 mistle, 1 songthrush, 4 Snipe, 2 Jacksnipe, 1 greywag, 500 Golden plover the highlights. #patchbirding

Big old Taiga Bean at Hay-a-Park today in an incredibly fleeting lunch time twitch. Thanks to original finder and Fozzy for already knowing where it was!

walked miles around Nosterfield Nature Reserve today and saw over 50 species of bird including a whooper and barnacle in amongst a greylag flock near the middle henge. local Black swan always nice to see too.

4 PB Brants and 10 Red throated divers at Hartlepool. Great Egret at Dormans. Spoonbill and Russian White Fronted Goose at RSPB Saltholme the highlights for me today. teesbirds

Moving over to bluesky eventually (@haverahbirder.bsky.social) at Hartlepool today. 15 Little Auks north between 12 and 1pm. Not too far from shore. RBMerganser, Purple sand, Common Tern! Redthroated Divers, Rock Pipit and Ringed Plover the other highlights teesbirds.

Thousands of Greylags and Canada goose at Haverah park yesterday lunch. Viewed from Pennypot lane. Thoroughly enjoyed looking through them all for rareties. One Pinkfoot the only highlight! Fieldfare, Redwing, Mistlethrush plentiful with c500 Starling too

Plenty of Black-tailed godwits at Nosterfield Nature Reserve at the mo. All varied stages of plumage. A spot of distal rhynchokinesis is always interesting to see.
