With support from Red Umbrella Fund @trans_fund we held our first board meeting which provided an opportunity for board members to deliberate on critical issues and concerns for the organization which included organizational leadership, resource mobilization, and staffing etc.

This enhanced community support to end violence against rural transgender youth sex workers&gender diverse youth sex workers, improved attitudes to recognize sex work as work& ensure that the health & human rights of sex workers are promoted, upheld & respected. Red Umbrella Fund

Today launch “The People’s Voice”, a document that contains recommendations from the communities of people living with HIV, people at high risk of HIV regarding HIV/TB services. Congratulations to all stakeholders!

Yesterday we joined Uganda Key Populations Consortium & #UCCM in an engagement tht intended to inform the CSO fraternity on the ongoing service delivery programs implemented by #MARPI, & funding streams available to support health promotion for KPs & high priority populations through TASO/Global Fund.

Yesterday with support from Tranz Network Uganda we received patients couches, board games, tables and chairs, Desktop,bin and printer to strengthen our existing Drop in center.We believe this will increase demand for services among rural transgender and gender diverse youth communities

As we ask our allies to pledge a safe space for all LGBTIIQ+ persons, we also ask an interrogation of what allyship means and to remember that allyship is a verb; it is a doing word, so support us in our goal to #RepealSOBUg, #DeleteClause11 #IDAHOBIT2021

We concluded a 3 days trans legal awareness training (18th-20th May 2021) at TYI-Uganda. We trained ten rural transgender women, rural transgender youth sex workers and gender diverse youth on the law, human rights, documenting cases and existing policies. The trained ten rural transgender women, rural transgender youth sex workers & gender diverse youth will support and enhance their fellows to access justice through linking them to legal aid entities such as HRAPF among others, awareness creation, community mobilization.African Women's Development Fund
