MFC's Region 1 Assistant Regional Forester, Shaun Rogers, is back from a detail as a Ground Support Unit Leader Trainee on the Green Fire in northern CA! He worked with the CA Team 3 Complex IMT, where he managed vehicle fleets, delivered supplies to the fireline, and more.

MFC's Region 1 is "'Staying Alive'" 🎵 🔥They completed their First Aid and CPR training, equipping and refreshing them with critical, life-saving skills. This ensures our employees are prepared for any emergency, from daily incidents to battling wildfires in the field.

Last week, MFC exhibited at the Neshoba County Conservation Carnival! 🌳 We loved hosting a booth for fifth graders from Neshoba County schools. It was a pleasure to teach them about the importance of forestry and the great opportunities available in the field. #MSforestry

#NeshobaCountyFair! MS State Forester, Russell Bozeman, greeted our Board of Commissioners member, Pat Thomasson, and MS Representative Scott Bounds. Outreach Officer Chris Burnham met with fairgoers and shared valuable wildfire prevention tips and landowner services.

MFC's Reg. 1 and the MSU Forestry Ext. hosted a Forestry Merit Badge Class. They shared their passion for MS's forests and helped the Scouts learn about tree identification, forest management, & conservation. We're proud to support these future stewards of our natural resources.

Australian forester Pat McCarthy is in the U.S. to study small-scale forestry. MFA recently hosted him, where he met with our MFC team, including Forest Management Chief, Todd Matthews, to learn about MS forestry programs. A great knowledge exchange!

Meet Caleb Winpigler, MFC's Area 35 Forester. With seven months under his belt at MFC, Caleb's days are filled with providing expert guidance to private landowners and school districts. He helps them effectively manage their land and timber, ensuring its health and productivity.
