Back on the road after 3 years of being unable to fly for health reasons and would like to thank sommelier Francesco Giuliano for such a splendid and friendly job of pouring Prosecco DOC for me. Tomorrow it will be Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

Of all the Prosecco DOC I have ever tasted, not just today, this is by far the best. Immaculate, precise, poised and elegant. Beautiful looking too, both the exquisitely pale wine and its presentation. There were other lovely wines, but this stood out like Venus on a starry night

Thank you Beppi, Alessie and the Consorzio di Tutela del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG for such a brilliantly organised tasting.

At the Consorzio Lambrusco in Modena, I asked for a vertical tasting of Parmigiano Reggiano. Why wouldn't you when the Consorzio Parmigiano Reggiano is in the same building? So I tasted 24 months, 36 months, 50 months, 60 months & 72 months. Fabulous! Thanks Alice & Chiara 🙏

Cultural collaboration was the theme of the Tate Modern launch of Dom Pérignon 2008 Plénitude 2. Our collaborator at the tasting was Anne Krebiehl MW who waited patiently for the fizz to flow then got stuck into another ‘triumph’ of an iteration from DP. the-buyer.net/tasting/wine/d…

DP 2008 in magnum is nothing short of bloody amazing and anyone who knows Ca'del Bosco Annamaria Clemente realises its 2009 in magnum is pure magic, but even I was surprised how beautifully it stood up shoulder to shoulder when following glass to glass with the Benedictine monk.

A mini-unicorn, perhaps? This 23 year old Argentine Syrah is solid to the rim of its meniscus and so vibrantly fresh and full of deep, berry-complexed fruit that I am sure I would have been 10 years out if I had to guess its age blind. Superb work in the vineyard and the winery.

Was the suspected gunman in constant communication? When I asked an AI what sort of a device this might be, one suggestion was "a bone‑conduction audio device would be intentionally positioned on the cheekbone/temple directly in front of the ear AT THAT PRECISE LOCATION"

tinyurl.com/3h6ptz8a You missed the most important factor, Sophie: how easy is the coiffe to remove? The messiest, most difficult & most frustrating is DP's glued-on foil. Some DP collectors drink nothing else but hate trying to remove the foil. It should be clean & easy.

You won't believe the odds of this interstellar object turning up in our solar system naturally with two other interstellar objects within a time-frame of just eight years. You won't even come close to imagining the probability. Look here: dropbox.com/scl/fi/krnjesv…

SPOILER Alert: The lowest odds are 1-in-4 quadrillion but if we take the scientific consensus on how long they have been travelling, the odds of this event being natural increase to one in 683 million times the number of seconds in the estimated life of the universe.

Wine discovered on Alien planet! What the astrophysicist obviously do not know is that DMDS & DMS are the active aromas of light-struck wine. How could I have missed this back in April! 😂😂😂 science.org/content/articl…
