Teaching day 1 of the TCRWP graphic novel writing unit in the library by the graphic novel section! This change of scenery got students excited to begin the new unit and explore this genre!

5th graders turned into pizza chefs and math wizards! From dough to deliciousness, we used our fraction skills to craft mouthwatering pizzas and cooked up some tricky word problems along the way. Fractional fun in every slice! 🍕

Kicking off Mystery Reader with a story around #HispanicHeritageMonth. Students were so excited to see who our surprise reader was today! I love opening up our classroom to families!

5th grade’s spooky 👻 rotations consisted of experimenting with electrostatic energy that propelled ghosts, crafting eerie ghost artwork using glow-in-the-dark paint, math haunted house escape room, & SWEET candy grams to creative Halloween narratives! 🍬🎃 Quail Summit
