Today at St. Rita Rock we participated in the Crowning of Mary by completing a living Rosary. We also celebrated the Feast of St. Rita 🙏🏼✝️🌹

I was so happy to lead the school in the rosary today. The glorious mysteries and the coronation of Mary are uplifting scripture passages. Also today is the feast of our patron saint, Rita of Cascia, saint of impossible causes. Nothing is impossible when we gather in her name.

Our K-3 Ss have participated in the Forest of Reading Blue Spruce Contest. Our school’s favourite book this year is Lost Stick by Anoosha Syed. Let’s see if this book becomes the winner across Canada. Stay tuned…

Our final unit of grade 1 science! Structures and materials! The kids loved this STEM challenge ⛩️🏛️🕌🕍🛕💒

Grade 2 Students in Ms. Spina’s class have a science test on solids and liquids next week! Particles, absorption, solution, mixture, buoyancy, safety symbols etc. are some of the words we’ve learned in this unit!

The library has undergone (another) transformation! Making space for all the great books I’ve added to our collection. Our Manga collection is growing, our romance books are being reviewed and our budding readers are exploring chapter books for the first time!
