What a wonderful day Region 15 Schools- started the day off Middlebury ES noticing and wondering about Math for Love Prime Climb images connected to The Math Learning Center lesson on prime and composite numbers. Followed up with some math coach collaboration and an NCTM webinar for the commute!

Students Middlebury ES are working hard at reading like a mathematician! There are so many parallels between literacy and numeracy ... reading with purpose, making predictions, understanding the context, identifying the key ideas, and discussing our ideas with others!

Friday 1/15 is Cricket Pride Day!

My K-5 students all participated in virtual makerspace today. Virtual sand art was a HUGE hit. Kids couldn’t get enough. Loved seeing all their designs. #thisissand

A 1st grader came up to me w/ a copy of this book to check out. She had a huge smile on her face and said, “I love this book. Have you read it? The people in it look like me and my mom and my grandma. This is my favorite book.” Then she hugged the book. ❤️📚 @rajanilarocca

Some of my favorite quotes from our visit to the public library to get library cards: “I love this store!” “I want to buy everything in here!” Kid looks at library card- “I don’t know how much is on this thing.” I let him know he could get everything a little at a time. 😀📚
