Domain valuations are largely subjective. I've closed many deals where some would argue the price was high, others where the name undersold. Deal making is highly circumstantial. If you can bring a buyer and seller together in the right moment, the price is secondary.

What's the most unexpected place you've sold a high value domain to? For me: A $165,000 acquisition for a Vietnamese pharma firm A $23,000 purchase for a Senegalese fintech startup. Both super smooth deals!

How long before 8-figures becomes par for the course on this calibre of name? It feels like within a couple of years we’ll be seeing this kind of transaction value regularly. One-word .com remains the benchmark and there’s no sign of that changing! x.com/GeorgeKirikos/…

It will be interesting to see the impact of the US election result on the domain market. I remember Trump's 2016 win caused short-term uncertainty which led to some deals collapsing. Many Americans were better off under Trump. Will we see a market bounce this time if he wins?

En route to Istanbul for ICANN general meet 2024. Excited. Despite the technological era we live in, I truly believe interpersonal business is more valuable than ever. Domain Days Dubai was so productive and I look forward to making more connections this week. See you there!

It appears sawsells made some announcements whilst I was away conferencing! Just one example of many world-class domains our team sells on a monthly basis. Unfortunately for you X aficionados, most have NDA's. Expect to hear more from us soon though! x.com/JeffreyMGabrie…

If you have completed a transaction at Escrow.com in which all parties have passed KYC, payment has been received, and you are receiving unusual status or delay messages, I would like to hear about it.

Ai.com now resolves to DeepSeek Chat.com vs Ai.com. Which is the better domain for an AI chat bot? Incredible acquisition for DeepSeek and a phenomenal statement of intent. sawsells sold this domain in the recent past!

Big congratulations to the team at Hosting.com on their rebrand! It was a privilege to represent the seller in this transaction and see what they have done. Special shout-out to Brooke Hernandez: Domain Broker and Rob Watson, who worked together to sell this seven-figure name!

Delighted to have overseen the acquisition of this incredible .com brand. The stars aligned on this deal resulting in a great outcome for all parties. Kudos to the man John Berryhill for a supremely smooth transaction and transfer process. x.com/sawsells/statu…

I've been way too quiet on here given how many deals we're closing, but everybody wants an NDA these days! Acquired an 11-letter, one word .ai for $138,000 USD for one of my repeat clients. Q2 2025 has been huge for domain names.

In terms of frequency of domain name sale value, comparatively to a decade ago it appears 7-fig deals are the new 6-fig deals; 6-fig deals are the new 5-fig deals etc 5-fig deals are run of the mill now. Like 4-fig deals used to be. This is only trending in one direction 📈
