So that’s it 😢 officially finished my last ever placement. Absolutely loved my time at Ysgol y Ddraig and the support I received during the placement was incredible, so thank you very much! Back to uni now for a few months and then onto Qatar for my first teaching job!👨🏻‍🏫🇶🇦

And just that like, the final week of sessions for our Yr3 student teachers ITE Cardiff Met! Still a couple of assessments to go, but these talented/passionate/hardworking students are one step closer to becoming colleagues! They are a credit to Cardiff Metropolitan University/EWC / CGA/Welsh Government Education

And just like that, my 3 years at Cardiff Metropolitan University has come to an end. I’ve absolutely adored my time here and I’m thankful for everyone I’ve met along the way. Leaving a job I loved was hard but I’m so glad I did. Next step, two years as an ECT in Qatar 🇶🇦👨🏻‍🏫

4 years ago today I got my offer to study at ITE Cardiff Met… Fast forward to today and I just finished my first month teaching in an International School in Doha 🇶🇦

One of those days today 👀😶‍🌫️

A year ago today I submitted my dissertation… HOW HAS IT BEEN A YEAR ALREADY?! Also, a pigeon made a nest on my classroom window and one of the eggs hatched last week! #edutwitter

I remember on my first day at ITE Cardiff Met, a wise Jordan Allers 🇨🇦 in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 told me that “the bumpiest roads always have the nicest views” - 4 years on, I think he was onto something… 😏🇶🇦

First year of teaching complete ✅ Happy to find out that I’ll be changing to Year 5 next year too! Dream come true! Time to fly home for a couple of months and rest 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

So excited to start my first full year on Sunday with my own Year 5 class 🤩

Into my second year of teaching and I still get imposter syndrome every time I see this 😂

Well it’s taken me almost 5 terms but the imposter syndrome I had in my classroom has finally gone 😅
