I made a 1/6 scale lunar module chandelier for my shop. It’s 5’ across and there’s an LED bulb in the engine bell. I scratch-built it mostly from painted foam core and 3D printed parts. It’s going to hang from the ceiling along with my Gemini astronaut.

Making progress on the incredibly detailed Orion Spacecraft model by Mark Piatowski. I'm scaling mine down to 1:24 from 1:18 which made the seats and displays a bit challenging, but nothing a little superglue can't fix! Really happy with how the parts are turning out.

I meant to say go4gordon 🇺🇦 … let us know if you come across any issues/refinements that need to be made to the model, certainly at 1:24 scale, feel free to feedback to me. Always looking to improve the experience for anyone else looking to produce the Orion model themselves 😎

Another progress update on my Orion! Almost done. Still deciding what I want to do for the windows but all the major pieces are together. Here you can see assembly of the crew compartment deck and interior. I used some plastic from a CD case for the hygene bay door.

Next up was installing the crew compartment deck into the pressure vessel and adding the seats. ELCSS ducts were inserted and glued into place with the forward bay.

Now all that was left was to put all the pieces together. It even fits perfectly on my display shelf! Just needs a final glueing once the windows are in. Huge thanks to Mark Piatowski for making this incredible model!!

Forgive me if this is old news on the space circuit … just been looking into VR and what is out there for young people to be inspired into the adventure of spaceflight. I know Kerbal is a big one I need to look at, but this “REENTRY”blew me away. youtu.be/JCKb2r_E1PQ?si…

Does anyone have an idea on what state the interior of Artemis 2’s Orion Spacecraft CM is likely to be? With assembly of the SLS and recent testing of the CM at Kennedy is the interior flight ready or with there be some retrofitting needing to be done once stacked. Awaiting photos 🙏
