Most pointless thing we have bought for our trip to Brittany is a mosquito candle as at 22.07 it is still light

We cycled 2 miles along the seafront into Concarneau this morning. It has nice shops & cafes in a citadel in the harbour. It clouded over at lunch, but we went for a coastal walk this pm & it cleared up, & we had an unexpected sit on the beach. We are forecast rain tonight

We had some rain last night and this morning, we had some drizzle. We walked into Concarneau and they had a little craft market and someone playing the bagpipes. This afternoon, we went for a long bike ride along the old railway line.

We walked into Concarneau this morning & had a look around the market before getting the boat across to Beg Meil for €12 return. The whole area is full of beaches and pretty little coves. We had a gallete and cider in a tea cup for lunch.

Thank God I'm not at home

We travelled an hour south yesterday to Port Loius and are staying at the municipal campsite for €16.40. We visited the citadel and it's museums and there was an evening market on in the town

This morning, we drove down to Noirmoutier. Good news is we are at an aire next to campsite and we can use their pool and loos/showers - all for €17. Bad news is we could only get 3 nights as Bastille Day weekend coming up

We walked to the local market this morning before it got too hot, then we cycled into Noirmoutier town and checked out the aire (we might go Sat if it's not full). We cycled along to Plage de Dames and had lunch and an ice cream there

This morning, we cycled to the Passage du Gois - the causeway that is only accessible 90mins before and after low tide. We cycled out a bit, but the road was still wet and splashy. This afternoon, we have been at the pool and the beach as we're having the hot weather too

This morning, we had to move, and we got 1 of the last places at the tappy aire in town for €17.10 We looked at the shops in town and visited the chateau. This afternoon, we cycled 10 mins to another lovely beach. I've been here before, but didn't know of the lovely beaches

We cycled to the farthest tip of the island today to the port of L'Herbaudière. We had a walk round & some lunch before returning along the north coast & a stop at another lovely beach. The island is great for cycling and not as manic as Île de Ré. We are heading north tomorrow

We turned round and headed 170 miles north today and are at the tappy aire by Mont St Michel for €17.80. We cycled to the bus over to the mount & visited the Abbey (reduction with Brittany Ferries boarding pass). There was a few spits of rain, but forecast OK for tomorrow

Yesterday, after looking at the weather, we decided to change our ferry to Weds am from St Malo. So, today we travelled to a site 4 miles out of Dinan for €22.72. We cycled along the river into the lovely town and had lunch. Dinan is a place I've wanted to visit for a while

We've come to the end of our Brittany/Noirmoutier road trip crossing with Brittany Ferries. We had 20 nights away averaging €19 a night - 6 on aires and the rest on sites with 11 nights with a pool. We have had great weather (a few days too hot). It's a beautiful part of France

We've come away to Suffolk, staying at a CL at Oulton Broad for £20. We are the only ones here. We walked 20 mins to the Wherry hotel, where we met some friends for lunch and drinks. Tomorrow, we head to Latitude, where we are volunteering for Child.org

Rainy day at Latitude and lots of mud! But we we had buggy training and a drive around out of bounds areas

It was the rainiest day yesterday Latitude. I found out that my old wellies let water in, but I have brought my hiking boots. We had our first shift, and there was so much mud. Michael was driving a mini bus and got stuck a few times. The sun is out this morning.

It was a long day at Latitude yesterday - but the sun was shining. We watched some comedy acts and saw some bands before our shift at 9pm. It was busy driving the accessible buggies and I got back home at quarter to 1. Day off today!
