This pic may be 9yrs old, the kids now at uni/college, but our apple press is still going strong 🍎 We’re taking it to @NorthernRootsOL Harvest Fest event this Sat 4-7pm, give them a follow for more event info, incl the free Shadowplay fire-lit show in the dark by Walk the Plank
Rocking up with the Operation Farm crew tomorrow @NorthernRootsOL Harvest Fest Event (Sat 17th 4-7pm) 🍎 We’ve got 1/4 tonne of locally grown, surplus fruit to press; if you live nearby pop along for some free juice 🍏
Was apple pressing with Operation Farm last night for @NorthernRootsOL 🍎 This is how it works; surplus apples are picked then we wash 👉 scrat 👉 press 👉 serve 👉 drink 😋 Juice can be taken home in recycled bottles ♻️ The fruit pulp goes in the compost bin, zero waste 👌🏼
What a cracking time we had at Friends of Egmont Street’s Harvest Festival 🍁 All apples were picked in Mossley 🍎 the pomace is now on its way to some local, hungry pigs 🐷 Well organised, well attended and well good. Mossley folk, we proper enjoyed it 😘 The National Lottery Community Fund
