Recently we got a study out on how maternal psychopathology is associated to child psychopathology several years later. If your interested, give it a read. frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…

A new paper from one of my side projects is out. This one is from a collaboration with my dear friend Gaelle Doucet in Omaha. The paper looks at patterns of brain structure and function and health in older (55+) vs young adults. aging-us.com/article/203815

Our new study came out (see also nccr-synapsy tweet below). I find it interesting that it shows that there may be benefits if mothers have what appears to be an optimism bias when it comes to their childrens emotional capacities. tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.108…

In our newest study we found that mothers who report more physical symptoms resulting from psychological stress (somatization), think their children also have more somatization. This is particularly relevant for women with a history of trauma frontiersin.org/articles/10.33…

The newest publication from the optimism research arm of my work is out. Ravi Kotikalapudi used a voxel based approach to brain structure. We found good evidence that an optimistic outlook to live has biological roots in brain structure. mdpi.com/2076-3425/12/3…

Dear all. I moved on from the CHUV in Lausanne. This was done so I could have more focus again on social psychology, which I will do in Daria Knochs team Social Neuroscience Bern at U-Bern.

How is individual behaviour aligned with collective goals? We are looking forward to welcoming Charlotte Kukowski from Cambridge University at our #sns_colloquium tomorrow who will provide a #selfcontrol perspective on collective action problems.

I am looking for a new job, as my current employment is coming to an end. For non-academic jobs I am particularly interested in positions that allow me to leverage my data science skills.

Always nice when ones work gets attention and is useful to other people. Obviously I am biased, but I truly feel like it has broad implications. If you still want to download it: here is the link: cambridge.org/core/journals/…
