So I’m thinking. Of this was still a two team playoff, who would be in? Indiana Georgia. If it were a four team playoff? They’d bring in Tech and OSU. I wouldn’t leave out Bama, but it’s not like they didn’t have a shot.

For real #CollegeFootball fans, if you’re debating the “goodness” of losses, you’ve already admitted none of those teams deserve to be in.

G6 plays a playoff. Winner gets to CFP. Top 2 teams in P4 are in. Championship games are for byes. On championship weekend 14 teams play 7 games (play based on committee rankings to get in the playoff). That’s how I’d do it.

The committee as never going to leave the ACC and the SEC runner up out. It’s not about fair or deserving or even best. It’s about making four groups of people as satisfied as you can. The sooner they admit it, the sooner it will make sense.

Anyone mad about JMU and Tulane are welcome to join the American and Sun Belt. For real, if you can’t win your conference, what does it matter who you are better than if you AREN’T the best in YOUR conference.

We had at a #4 win the natty in a 4-team playoff. That justifies 4 teams. Last year #8 won, justifying 8 teams, but until #12 wins, we haven’t justified 12 teams. I’m good at 12. ANY 2-loss team arguing they have a right to be in lost their right when they lost a 2nd game.

Complaining about 2 G5 teams because you couldn’t make the top 8 is sadder than having 2 G5 teams. Win your games. Win your conference. If you don’t, that’s on you. Anyone not Texas Tech, Georgia and Indiana are at large teams and should be thankful for expansion.

Clark Lea did not blame anyone besides themselves with CFP. Says they had chances at Alabama and Texas “That’s no one’s fault except our own. We had our opportunities and we didn’t do enough. We are not victims in this process. Our ownership is in coming up short…” Chris Lee

#CFPRankings are what they are. Question: do conferences matter or not? If yes, then ALL conferences matter and ALL conference champs should have at least a path to the playoffs. If only P4 conferences matter, then conferences don’t matter. It’s not about better.

Either conferences matter, or they don’t. You can’t be happy Bama’s in AND BYU is out. You can’t say JMU and Tulane “don’t deserve it,” AND “Bama shouldn’t be punished for playing in their championship.” You can’t say JMU have you’re opinion, but you can’t have BOTH.

Y’all want to complain that #NotreDame or #BYU got “punished” because Bama lost a championship game while in the same breath saying JMU should get punished because Duke WON a game. Just listen to yourselves. JMU won their conference. Whatever they get, they earned.
