So much of what we teach in science cannot be seen and so models are a powerful tool to use helping students represent, describe and explain their understanding. Yr9's model of DNA gave me an excellent insight into their understanding and helped identify misconceptions!

Yr 7 made lip balm using ingredients such as bubble-gum extract as part of STEM. Pupils explored the history of cosmetics. They costed their product, and designed the packaging. They planned their pitches, which they delivered with brilliant confidence! #GirlsInSTEM #STEM 💜
