When I heard 'Walk the plank! Walk the plank!' in the playground today I had to investigate. These pupils were having a great time with the loose parts. Brilliant teamwork on show and they had so much fun creating their pirate ship. What will loose parts play being next? 🦜⚓

Our P7's put on an incredible Burns Supper last week. It was wonderful to be part of the audience along with all of the families who joined us. 🌟🌟

It was a brilliant sofa. A great spot for observing all of the fantastic play with loose parts that was happening. I was even invited to go to the beach on a learners aeroplane! The best way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.

A brilliant spot in our local woods, a few tarpaulins and some rope created a great opportunity for pupils to develop so many valuable skills. The simplicity of outdoor learning!

I loved being able to join P3 and P5/4 for outdoor learning today. We discussed why everything was so green and there was great excitement when the rain started 🌧️😆 Communication, resilience and perseverance all round!

It was a wonderful first week back at school, welcoming our new P1's as well as pupils returning to P2-7. It's always a highlight to see the joy in the playground as pupils enjoy spending time together again.

It was the launch of our whole school sponsored walk this afternoon. All of the pupils did a great job, walking for 1km around our community! Some children from Laurieston Nursery joined us as well which made it even more special. P2/1 and Mrs Marjoribanks Laurieston P1
