Today the grade 6’s went to Adventure works! We had an amazing time exploring outdoor education! Queen Mary School HWDSB

We had a blast at the senior track and field tournament today! These Queen Mary School HWDSB Cardinals represented our school so well! Way to go cardinals!

The athletic council has been running competitive and for fun basketball intramurals for the last 4 weeks for grades 5-8 during first break! The athletic council sets the gym up, organizes the teams, keeps score and refs the games! Queen Mary School HWDSB

Today we had our semi final intramural basketball game today! Thank you to the athletic council, Mr. Williams and Mr.Ellis for reffing the games!

We had a great last day today in 6B. This year was awesome and my students were incredible! Today we played crash mat kickball and had a karaoke dance party! I wish everyone an amazing summer! Queen Mary School HWDSB

Yesterday we had the 3rd Annual QM Olympics where’s the middle school competes in a variety of challenges throughout the day! This year Cool Ranch got silver for spirit! Way to go! Queen Mary School HWDSB

Queen Mary had a blast at Tropical Friday yesterday!

Today students working in small groups to solve a conversion question. I loved seeing student use the wipe books and using the manipulatives so show their learning! Queen Mary School HWDSB

Today each student got a piece of paper with different lengths on it with different metric units. Students worked as a team to convert everything into meters and then stood from least to greatest! So much teamwork, communication and awesome math discussions!

The three 5/6 classes went to Gage Park today to play some outdoor games! Students played bocce, flew kites, blew bubbles, played kick baseball and some even played volleyball using the baseball fence as a net! Queen Mary School HWDSB

This week is Spirit Week at Queen Mary School HWDSB ! Today was twin day! Tomorrow is dress as a teacher day or wear red and black for the student vs. teacher basketball game. Wednesday is sunglasses and sandal day and Thursday is anything but a backpack day!

Today was students dress as your teacher and teachers dress as students at Queen Mary! The junior girls and boys basketball teams also played the teachers today for spirit week! Queen Mary School HWDSB
