Between Monday 16th and Friday 20th June, The MFG will be hosting the Scholastic Bookfair! We are encouraging our students to love of reading outside of the classroom! At the Bookfair, students will have the opportunity to browse, and purchase, a range of new and exciting titles.

A massive round of applause for our phenomenal finalist in the Discover Articulation Competition! 🎉 While the top spot wasn't hers this time, her performance was absolutely captivating. We are all bursting with pride. What an inspiring day and an even more inspiring team! 💖

This morning we had the pleasure of welcoming Kim from Candlelighters, who came in to meet with some of our KS3 students and present a cheque for an incredible £614.21. Candlelighters Trust

On Tuesday part of the Year 8 Respect programme took a trip to Crossley Fields. The students planned and delivered a presentation to the Year 5s on life at The MFG. They showcased their brilliant oracy skills and demonstrated amazing morality and generosity. Well done Year 8!

Today The MFG has said goodbye to the Year 11 cohort, there has been laughter, hugs, tears and lots of shirt signing. Thank you Year 11, you have been AMAZING!

The MFG Values & Culture Day - 11th July 2025 We are looking forward to this Friday where students have signed up for three sessions created by staff and visitors to celebrate different cultures and identities within our community and activities that challenge and develop skills

Final Preparation is underway for The Great MFG Summer Fete as part of our MFG Values & Culture Day Each form group will host a stall with activities for students to enjoy alongside our school staff band! Funds raised money for our new PTFA and chosen charities.

Our Year 10 and 12 students are all undertaking a week of work experience. We have asked the students to find their own placement to give them exposure to job seeking long with an experience of the workplace. We look forward to hearing all about the new skills they have acquired!

We have had some absolutely amazing feedback from our work experience employers!

Today is Culture and Values day at The MFG. Students and staff have been having a fantastic morning, they have been getting involved with lots of activities, watch this space for more pictures of all the activities and the summer fete!
