Went into the polling station. Took a breath, paused, absorbed the moment, voted Green - and not Labour for the first time in a general election in my life. As I left, a young lad pointed and yelled “you’re that Michael Owen arentcha!” Happy election day everyone

The media is going to systematically de-platform Green MPs over the next 4 years while giving Farage a megaphone. It’s on us to force the issues that matter onto the agenda. That means we’ve got to make a lot of trouble 😈

Back in June, then Labour MP for Bristol Thangam Debbonaire was "enraged" when Green activists suggested she'd be put in the Lords if she lost. Six months later - that is, today - Thangam Debbonaire has been put in the Lords. As Green activists said would happen!

Thangham Debbonaire and Marvin Rees are both being sent to the lords after the people of Bristol voted them out This shows exactly how much democracy means to Labour Politicians There's no such thing as losing an election when you're Labour or Tories. It's just failing upwards.

The government seems confused between protest and terrorism. To clarify, what Israel is doing is terrorism. What Palestine Action is doing is protesting it. theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/j…

We should all be concerned about plans to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist group. Targeting non-violent protesters in this way is a misuse of terrorism-related powers. It sets a dangerous precedent, which governments in future could further use against their critics.
