To improve dissertation-writing accountability, I've been sharing the daily hours I work on my dissertation and silently Zoom co-working with academics friends... all of whom I've met online. A part of me finds this totally weird... but hey, it works.

I held onto my conference badges because I thought it’d be fun to look back at all the fun conferences I attended during my PhD... but pretty sure I’ve attended more virtual conferences than irl ones at this point 😅

I had amazing coding teachers during my PhD: the undergrads and masters students I mentored who actually studied computer science 🥰

A stark reminder that COVID isn't over... a vaccinated friend tested positive a day after I hung out with her indoors unmasked. Her vaccinated neighbor also tested positive. I am currently self-isolating and keeping my fingers crossed.
