As a data analyst, you’d think most of my time is spent analyzing data. The reality? Most of it goes into cleaning data. The solution? A well-built data pipeline. Good pipelines = clean, ready-to-use data = more time for real insights. Invest in your pipelines. It’s worth it.

Most businesses think they have a data problem. What they really have is a data process problem. Without clean, accessible data, even the best tools—Tableau, PowerBI, or Excel—will fail to deliver results. Focus on fixing the process, not just the tools.

Pretty dashboards are great — they should be visually appealing. But if they aren’t helping your team make better decisions, what’s the point? A good dashboard doesn’t just look good. It drives action. It answers real business questions. Are your dashboards helping your team

Dumping your data into S3 doesn’t make it a data lake. A real data lake has: - ✅ A catalog (what's in there) - ✅ Permissions (who can access what) - ✅ Structure (partitioning, schema) - ✅ Query tools (Athena, Redshift, etc) Without these you just have expensive storage.
