Maddox got some good mat time in getting ready for the 14U National Duals. He finished at 2nd place in both Greco and Freestyle at Southern Plains Regionals. Thank you to Shannon Kline at Purler Wrestling along with several other coaches that have helped train him.

Took a little break from football and headed up to KC GroWrestling Fall Brawl. After the first match Maddox said “I am out of shape”. He settled in after the first match and finished the day strong. Took 3 years but he finally climbed to the top of podium!

Maddox received the AR Ironman Award. We are so proud of his hard work on and off the mat. Many coaches have got Maddox where he is. This group of kids are truly some of the best in the state and so fun to watch. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them and AR wrestling

Some hard lessons were learned today in Tulsa. 1. Reviewing what went wrong after a match and making adjustments can make a difference! 2. Sometimes it is best to listen to coach/dad during a match. Sometimes things are seen in the corner you don’t see in the match. I feel

Had a good time in Cabot yesterday. It was a packed house.

Very bittersweet day! Matthew got his first career wrestling win and did it with a pin at the Springdale Showdown today. Maddox wrestled in his final Springdale Showdown as a youth wrestler!

This could be the first and only time these boys win together at a youth tournament! Matthew in his first year and Maddox will move on to High School after this season. Great memories made this weekend!

It was a divide and conquer weekend. One boy was close to home and the other was 3hrs north.

The boys went in separate directions again. One in Louisiana for a team dual and the other stayed home. Both had great weekends. 3 weeks left before the State tournament!

This is one of the best traditions in wrestling!
