Incredibly sad day for everyone connected with Birmingham City FC. Trevor Francis, the undisputed golden boy of St Andrew's, has passed away. He gave his best years to the club, as player and manager, and despite playing for others, his heart will always be ours. Rest easy, Trev.

The Blues team that Trevor Francis managed, reaching three play-off semi-finals from '99 - '01 and a League Cup final from the second tier, was the team that made me fall helplessly in love with football. A good, honest team that made Birmingham City FC fans so proud. This is a very sad day.
