🎉 I'm incredibly proud to announce we just launched react-select v2! It represents my take on how to build powerful React components that "just work" out of the box, while being extremely customisable. Thanks to everyone who contributed! 🌏 react-select.com

If you are spending a lot of your time learning *while* you code — while someone is paying you — then you are doing it right. You don’t need to learn it all ahead of time and show up to work already knowing. Don’t let our stupid educational system trick you into thinking that.

If someone insists UI developers aren't designers, next time they provide you with a mock up, build it exactly as specified—and I mean **exactly**. Anyone who's ever built a UI knows just how much of the finished design you'll be leaving out.

💡A really great way to start a new job is to volunteer to write tests: ✅ There are never enough tests ✅ Coworkers will be grateful ✅ Learn the codebase ✅ You can't break anything ✅ You will learn things you didn't know about product ✅ Future you will thank you

We wrote a roadmap for the next React 16.x releases! You might have heard about "Hooks", "Suspense", and "Concurrent Mode" from our talks. This post clarifies how they relate to each other and when they'll be ready to use. reactjs.org/blog/2018/11/2…

May I host you to talk a little bit about the troubles I had to write CSS in React applications and how I’ve got over them? #reactmorocco meetu.ps/e/GrrTN/wnbHk/a

Being a self taught developer is pretty exciting because you're always being told that the code you wrote is actually using the reverse factory service discovery injection visitor pattern, and you're all like, cool, I didn't know it was called that.

Git 2.38 added a `git rebase --update-refs` argument that automatically moves branches associated with rewritten non-head commits. You can now stack multiple branches in the same commit series and rebase without losing your mind. Big UX win!
