Since 4 am, Memphis Police Officers have responded to 29 crashes.

Slow down and use extra caution while driving. We are officially under our inclement weather crash policy.

At 7:40 am, officers responded to a crash at I-240 near mile marker 12. Veh #2 was struck from the rear, and driver #2 Narciso Vargas, 67, was ejected. Vargas was xported critical but later died from his injuries. Driver #1 Kelvin Toney, 38, fled the scene but was later located.

BREAKING: TDOT officials release photos of the structural crack found on the I-40 Hernando DeSoto Bridge. The bridge will remain closed as inspection continues. Take a look! bit.ly/2SAGlvt
