We talk about pouring from an empty cup, but maybe the analogy should be a low fuel light or better yet a check engine light coming on. Educators, if you don't pay attention to the signs, it could be detrimental.

Teachers, it's not just students who need words of affirmation, but colleagues and admin, and even parents need them as well. Connecting and building strong relationships takes the whole team.

Asking teachers to do ‘ONE MORE THING’ and not removing anything else from their plate doesn’t help anyone. •It doesn’t help Teachers! •It doesn’t help Test Scores! 🙄 •And it certainly doesn’t help STUDENTS!

There seems to be a mantra of fail quick, fail often. This may be true in innovation. However, there are times when you need to fail slowly or seek to avoid failure, such as in certain relationships, or implementing certain strategies. Some failures should not be quick or often

Teachers, we talk a lot about trauma with students, but many of you may be experiencing trauma and even more so this year. Lets all have an extra dose of grace and patience with each other. And check on each other too. Sometimes an ear that will hear makes a big difference.

Words matter. There is literally life and death in them. Choose carefully the words you speak to others and especially the words you speak to yourself.

Teachers All In means giving your best but it doesn’t mean giving your best 24/7. No one is probably going to tell you to take time for your self to take care of your self. You have to care enough about yourself to do it.

Be confident in yourself to the point that you don’t feel like you have to prove yourself to others.

Admin, teacher morale affects student achievement. if it’s all about the kids, then makes sure you’re all about the teachers.

We say relationships before anything in education but it’s true in life too. If 2020 has reminded us of anything, it is to never take relationships for granted and know the family and friends in our lives are greater than any gift.
