Great couple of days (and all 4 seasons!) in the Highlands getting the temperature loggers up and the nest boxes cleaned out ahead of field season!Still time to put in an application to come join us working on the Phenoweb transect this spring 🐦🐛🌳 phenoweb.org/opportunities/

Had lots of fun last week helping the Liberton After School Club build these mini weather stations. Great seeing kids so engaged and curious about science!

Really pleased to announce the FruitWatch project is LIVE!! If you've got a fruit tree in your garden, or spot one out and about, we'd love it if you recorded it's flowering progress at FruitWatch.org! It only takes a couple of minutes!!

Would you like to be paid to spend all spring outside in the woods, watching baby birds develop and the trees burst into leaf around you? Then this tweet is for you! We're still accepting applications for this position, so if you meant to apply but missed the deadline worry not!

Moving my WFH desk to look out my bedroom window at the tree outside was a lovely idea. This afternoon I saw a blue tit alarm call so much that it fell off its branch.

Phenology folk: Do you have - or know of - a datasets that includes phenological measures for multiple individuals of multiple species (i.e. >1 individual per species) in a community for a period of 25+ years? If so we'd love to hear from you!

Had a lovely afternoon wandering around a cemetery looking for two spot ladybirds ahead of demonstrating on a practical - honestly I may end up having more fun than the first years on this practical, it was absolutely delightful 🐞

Really enjoyed going along and meeting other PhD students studying climate change - a great chance to chat with people from a wide array of disciplines from geosciences to business studies. Thanks for organising Edinburgh Earth Initiative, and excited to see what else they have planned 😊
